Intersolar Europe is the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and Sharp Energy Solutions Europe attended to present our newly expanded product portfolio of PV panels and energy management systems, as well as an exciting and newly completed solar project.
Intersolar Europe is now in its 27th year and held this year at the Messe München, in Munich, Germany. Playing host to over 95,000 visitors, visiting more than 800 exhibitors and a further 900 providers of products and solutions for photovoltaics, the show is an intense three days of solar technologies and the integration of renewable energy.
The Sharp Energy Solutions Europe were there to talk about our widest product portfolio to-date and introduce new solutions to the marketplace.
Sharp ND-RJ275 (275W) PV Panel
The Sharp ND-RJ275 (275W) high-performance polycrystalline photovoltaic (PV) module is the latest addition to the ND-RJ product family. Produced in Germany, the panel uses improved 5 busbar technology, and is also equipped with a low-iron solar glass that comes with an anti-reflective coating, so increasing light absorption and allowing for more solar energy to be generated from the same surface area.
As a result, the Sharp ND-RJ275 (275W) has the ability to reach panel efficiency of 16.8%, offering customers improved reliability and reduced series resistance.
Sharp NQ-R258H (258W) PV module
Visitors to the stand were also able to see for the first time the recently launched Sharp NQ-R258H (258W) PV module with highly efficient back contact modules for residential use.
The NQ-R258H module incorporates our latest back contact technology to offer a real-world ‘Best in Class’ efficiency of 20 per cent, thereby maximising the amount of power output that can be generated using the minimum of roof space.
Sharp Smart Chap
It is not only solar panel products that we continue to develop and expand upon, as visitors were also able to get a hands-on feel for the latest improvements to the Sharp Smart Chap modular home energy management system. The system is already successfully being used by many customers in the DACH region and is now being expanded to other EU countries.
The Smart Chap energy manager allows users to have greater control over the battery storage of their solar energy collected during the day, so that it can be accessed and used at any time of the day or night. For example, our studies have shown that during the summer months, users can expect to reduce their dependence on the public electrical grid by up to 99 per cent, with an overall annual average of up to 80 per cent.
Aldo Enerji Project Display
While it’s always exciting to see new products and energy solutions on display, we were also able to announce the completion of an amazing project in Turkey.
Aldo Enerji completed the installation of 43,000 high-performance Sharp PV panels for three of its varied projects in Turkey, with a resulting power totaling 11.608 MW being created. At the heart of the project lies the largest solar farm in Viransehir, southeastern Turkey, which is using Sharp’s 270W high-performance polycrystalline photovoltaic module the ND-RJ270, to generate 7.153 MW of power.
