With the introduction of the Sharp MX-6071, MX-6051, MX-5071 and MX-5051 Advanced and Essentials MFPs, our line-up of mid-range A3 colour print solutions has expanded to 14 models. Each one is designed for use by busy workgroups, helping improve office efficiency and reducing costs.
Each model comes with Sharp's award-winning, easy-to-use 10.1-inch touchscreen display and intuitive interface common across the whole range. They add advanced new security enhancements and secure single sign on for direct connection to public cloud integration features. For example, direct access to Microsoft OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Exchange online, Google Drive, Gmail, Dropbox, and Box.net from Sharp’s Cloud Connect feature.
Our new Application Portal keeps these cloud connectors up to date, under administrator control, and permits the administrator to easily add new connectors or apps right from the touchscreen of the MFP.
With standard OCR capabilities, users can easily scan and convert documents to popular file formats including Microsoft Word (docx), PowerPoint (pptx) and Excel (xlsx), as well as PDF/A - 1a, PDF/A-1b, Searchable PDF, Encrypted PDF and others. You can even directly print these same file types from USB drives, cloud applications and mobile devices.
Sharp and Adobe Embedded Print Engine
The Sharp MX-6071, MX-6051, MX-5071 and MX-5051 Advanced and Essentials MFPs are the first new models to support the new Adobe Embedded Print Engine, which direct prints PDF files from a variety of sources with greater performance and rendering accuracy. PDF remains one of the most commonly shared and used document formats in the world and is frequently used in mobile working and PDF workflow environments, which is why getting the best print accuracy and performance is crucial.
The Adobe Embedded Print Engine is the next-generation print RIP (Raster Image Processor) technology that provides users with greater accuracy and performance when directly printing PDF files from the company network, or from mobile devices, from cloud storage, or even from portable USB drives.
The engine is based on the same core technology present in Adobe’s current creative applications and Adobe Acrobat DC, resulting in printers powered by it delivering superior print quality and faster print processing times. It seamlessly allows users to take advantage of the latest rendering, font and graphic engine from Adobe, so that even non-compliant PDFs achieve the best print quality possible.
The Adobe Embedded Print Engine ensures that the new generation of Sharp MFPs accurately represent colours on printed paper by taking advantage of ICC profiles, which correct defines the gamut of colours used as defined by the International Color Consortium (ICC).
If you’re looking to increase productivity in your business, the Sharp MX-5051, MX-6051, MX-5071, MX-6071 Advanced and Essentials MFPs have the power, efficiency and flexibility to meet the needs of your workgroups. If you would like more information, please Get In Touch for a demonstration.
