Sharp, a leading provider of business technology services and products, has announced the appointment of Danisha Bhobun as the new European HR Director. With over 20 years of HR leadership experience, Danisha will lead Sharp’s European HR strategy – prioritising talent, diversity, and technological collaboration across the region.
In her new role, Danisha will focus on aligning HR strategies with Sharp’s European business objectives. Her responsibilities include driving talent management initiatives, building employee engagement, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, and ensuring compliance with international labour laws. Additionally, Danisha will provide strategic HR guidance to senior European managers and oversee HR integration processes during mergers and acquisitions.
Danisha brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as Head of Talent and Development for Sharp Europe for the past three years. In this position, she implemented a number of successful initiatives across the UK and Europe, including the introduction of a new performance review tool for the European senior leadership team, as well as enhancing Sharp’s Learning Management System (LMS).
Prior to joining Sharp, Danisha held key HR roles at top organisations including Regional Senior HRBP at Tesco. Danisha’s deep understanding of European HR dynamics, multi-site leadership experience, and fluency in multiple languages equips her to effectively build inclusivity and improve collaboration across Sharp’s European teams.
“I am honoured to take on this new role and to continue supporting Sharp’s commitment to innovation” Danisha said. “My key priorities include enhancing Sharp’s talent, fostering diversity and implementing bespoke training and development programmes. I am confident that Sharp will continue to meet its business objectives while also maintaining a culture of inclusivity and innovation.”
Steve Nagao, President of Shared Services at Sharp Europe, comments: “We are thrilled to have Danisha on board to lead Sharp’s HR strategy and ensure it aligns closely with Sharp’s business goals. Under Danisha’s leadership, Sharp’s HR initiatives will focus on talent, diversity, training & development programmes and driving technological collaboration across the region.”
