Sharp Corporation announces today that models based on its latest Controller Platform have passed the Security Validation Testing for Device Penetration conducted by Keypoint Intelligence and testing partner Agile Cybersecurity Solutions (ACS) for Digital MFP Device Penetration.
As modern workplaces evolve with diverse work styles, implementing robust security across organisations is vital. The exploitation of new vulnerabilities makes networked devices like MFPs prime targets for security breaches, leaving organisations exposed to malicious attacks and severe operational consequences.
The Security Validation Testing program provided by Keypoint Intelligence addresses security from various vectors to determine if devices are safeguarded against vulnerabilities.
The rigorous testing process thoroughly examines MFP firmware and network connection pathways to identify potential vulnerabilities and assess protective measures. The results confirmed that Sharp MFPs equipped with the tested firmware and configured with the recommended settings are robustly protected against various anticipated threats, reaffirming the devices’ reliability and security.
