Sharp Energy Solutions Europe Unveils Cutting-Edge Bifacial N-type TOPCon Glass/Glass Solar Panel with an Extra Watt Boost

Sharp Energy Solutions Europe announces the launch of its newest Bifacial TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) Solar Panel with a wattage upgrade to 575 Watt.

The NB-JD575 is a Glass/Glass solar panel with N-type 144 M10 half-cells featuring 16 busbars. The N-Type TOPCon module bifacial ratio is up to 80% with a module efficiency of 22.26%.The new solar panel also boasts several benefits of N-TOPCon technology, including higher power and efficiency, better low-light performance and higher bifaciality.

The higher power and efficiency of the N-TOPCon technology results in improved energy production, making the panel more cost-effective for users. In addition, the enhanced low-light performance ensures that the panel continues to produce energy even in sub-optimal lighting conditions, thus increasing its overall efficiency.

The N-TOPCon Glass/Glass Bifacial Solar Panel also incorporates a low temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C for power output, guaranteeing exceptional performance even in higher ambient temperatures. This attribute is all the more important given climate change and the associated temperature increases. Furthermore, the panel is LID-free, which minimises the risk of power loss over its lifespan.

The dimensions of the NB-JD575 are 2278 x 1134 mm, with a 30 mm aluminium frame. The front and back glass layers are each 2 mm thick and the panel weighs 32.5 kg in total. The panel's mechanical data ensures it is suitable for various applications, including commercial and utility scale free-field installations.

The panel's safety, quality, and durability have received official recognition, earning it the IEC seals (IEC61215 and IEC61730). These modules have undergone comprehensive testing to meet international standards and demonstrate resilience under extreme conditions and have  successfully passed assessments for resistance to ammonia, salt mist, sand, and PID.

The module is covered by a 30-year linear guarantee on the nominal power output. Within the EU and several other countries, a 15-year product guarantee applies when installed in free-field systems and this is upgraded to 25 years for rooftop mounted modules. This guarantee starts from delivery of the panel to the final customer.

"We are marking the launch of our improved 575W Glass/Glass N-TOPCon Bifacial Solar Panel," reported Andrew Lee, Sales Director EMEA, for Sharp Energy Solutions Europe. "Through the advanced N-type TOPCon technology and wattage upgrade embodied in the NB-JD575, we are making further progress on our journey towards a more sustainable future."
