Sharp expands half-cut cell portfolio with new 410W and 400W M10 PV panels

Sharp Energy Solutions Europe today announces the addition of the new 410W and 400W monocrystalline PERC silicon photovoltaic panels to its half-cut cell portfolio – the NU-JC410 and its all-black version the NU-JC400B. The new modules are suitable for short frame side clamping, and are designed for residential small-scale commercial and industrial rooftop installations. The low weight and dimension make these modules easy and comfortable for transport, handling and installation.

High Power Output

The NU-JC410 panel comes with an anodized silver frame and white backsheet, delivering an efficiency of 21%. The all-black NU-JC400B is built with a black frame and black backsheet giving the panel an efficiency of 20.5%.

A low temperature coefficient of -0.341%/°C ensures higher performance at high ambient temperatures, which becomes increasingly important due to climate change and the resulting rise in temperatures.

High product reliability

The new modules are built with M10 wafer (182 mm) half-cells. 10 busbar technology using round ribbons increases the power gain from each cell and makes them less sensitive to microcracks, offering higher module reliability.

All Sharp half-cell modules have three small junction boxes instead of just one, each fitted with one bypass diode. These junction boxes are transferring less heat to the cells above and in turn boost the longevity of the panels and the overall performance of the system.

The panels are equipped with the original MC4 connector, which makes them compatible with most of the mainstream optimizers, inverters and mounting systems.

The safety, quality and durability of the panel has been recognised with IEC seals (IEC61215 and IEC61730) and MCS for the UK. The modules have been tested for compliance with international standards and for endurance under extreme conditions, passing tests for ammonia, salt mist, sand and PID resistance.

Easy to handle

The dimensions of the NU-JC410 and NU-JC400B are 1722 x 1134 mm and a weight of only 21.8 kg, meeting the requirements for easy residential and small-scale commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop system installation. Furthermore, both panels are suitable for short frame side clamping.

The panels are covered by Sharp’s 15-year product guarantee and 25-year performance guarantee with a minimum of 85% in year 25, for those within the EU and several other countries, starting from delivery of the panel to the final customer.

Peter Thiele, President of SHARP Energy Solutions Europe: “We are pleased to expand our half-cut cell portfolio with the new NU-JC410 and NU-JC400B panels, ideal for residential and small-scale C&I rooftop installations. We want to enable our customers to achieve the lowest possible levelized cost of energy and have therefore created panels for efficient energy generation, high reliability and low Balance of system & CapEx costs. The PV modules perfectly combine these characteristics to benefit each installation.”
