Sharp’s display supports faster meeting start and incorporates an extensive set of sensors to monitor meeting conditions, stand E125 Sharp presents: “Reading the room: how and why IoT sensors improve collaboration and wellness in meetings” 1.00pm, Wednesday 15th May, The Future of Work Theatre.
At UC EXPO 2019, stand E125, Sharp, a leader in corporate meetings, will demonstrate its first Windows collaboration display, the next generation of interactive displays designed to support and improve team work. The 70” 4K display combines Sharp’s award-winning touch technology and IoT sensors that can work with Microsoft Azure Digital Twins to capture rich data on environmental conditions and meeting room usage.
Sharp will also demonstrate its solution for the Windows collaboration display, the Sharp WorkSpace Intelligence platform. The platform is Azure Digital Twins compatible and provides real-time information from the IoT sensors on the display, giving facilities managers the information they need to make sure meeting rooms are used efficiently and productively.
Sharp’s solution includes the capability to monitor the number of people in meetings, allowing businesses to make informed numbers-based decisions about the kind of teamwork areas needed. It also lets users check air quality, providing the richest dataset of any Windows collaboration display.
Partnering with Environmental Psychologist Dr. Nigel Oseland, Sharp will explore the impact of indoor air quality, temperature and lighting on office worker performance and wellness as part of a 30-minute seminar on Wednesday 15th May.
Dr. Oseland and Chris Parker, Senior Product Manager at Sharp, will discuss how businesses can improve collaboration and productivity by measuring environmental conditions in a meeting area, and how future developments in display technology, IoT and intelligent data capture will play a key role in the management of the future workplace.
“Better meeting spaces support improved concentration, attention span, cognitive functioning, mood and motivation, giving businesses better value for one of the most expensive areas of their office” comments Birgit Jackson, Commercial Director Visual Solutions.
“At Sharp we believe it is not just about the hardware but also about the experience we create when using our products. That’s why UC EXPO is the perfect platform for us not only to launch our next evolution in interactive displays, but also to share our learnings and research with businesses and explore the potential of IoT and other advanced collaboration technologies to create more productive meetings.”
The Windows collaboration display from Sharp has been designed to work with the familiar Microsoft tools that organisations will already be using across their workforce, for example, Office 365. Office 365 provides businesses with a digital hub for teamwork through Microsoft Teams, a platform that brings conversations, content and tools together in one place for easier group collaboration.
The Windows collaboration display from Sharp is the company’s latest interactive display, building on its award-winning BIG PAD range and heritage in corporate meeting room solutions.
