Sharp Europe Festive Quiz 2024 Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of these Terms and Conditions and by participating all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by them. 

Promotional Period

The main promotional period runs from 1st December and closes at 24th December.

The competition is open to people aged18 years or over.

How to Enter

The Sharp Festive Quiz 2024 will comprise of a daily question that must be answered. The entrant with the most correct answers after all questions have been asked will be deemed the winner. 

In case of a tie, the names of winning entrants will be placed into a draw and selected at random. 

Prize types and availability

Sharp Winter Warmer Prizes are strictly non-transferable and must not be sold. No cash alternatives for the specific prizes detailed or other alternative prize will be available in whole or in part. The prize will only be awarded directly to the Winner.

Winner selection and notification

The winner will be sent a confirmation email (using the email address submitted upon entry). No other entrants will be contacted. Sharp staff, partner agencies, and relatives may take part in the quiz, but cannot win a prize. 

Only valid entry information will be accepted. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify and reject any inappropriate entries. All entry information is subject to verification and interrogation.   

The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner and then after successful contact, to receive the relevant information to allow fulfilment of the claim and arranging the prize dispatch. 

If a winner has not responded to notifications after 7 working days, or unable to take up the prize for any other reason, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and reallocate the prize to the next in line.

The Winter Warmer prizes will be fulfilled by post. All prizes will be dispatched within 28 working days of the confirmation of each winner’s additional information, including postal address and any other information required.

General Information

The Promoter of this prize draw is Sharp Electronics Europe, 4 Furzeground Way, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, United Kingdom, UB11 1EZ.

The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. 

Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. 

The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so. 

These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom. 

No purchase is necessary to participate in the game. 

No correspondence and any other direct contacts between the Promoter and the player will be made regarding this quiz other than with the winner about their selection and the prizes. No correspondence will be entered into on this matter. 

A participant is responsible for any costs, taxes, duties or levies incurred because of participating in or winning the game. In addition, the participant hereby agrees and accepts that by being awarded with a prize in the game, the participant may incur taxes, duties or other levies including but not limited to any prize tax etc. under any applicable laws and regulations. The participant hereby unconditionally accepts to bear any such tax, duty or other levy on behalf of participant or an accompanying guest. 

Participants and the winner agree that they may be required to take part in publicity or other promotional activities without further consent or payment as later determined by promoter. Such publicity may include their names.

We take data protection seriously. To enter this quiz, we will require your name and email address. Any personal information, including, without limitation, the participant’s name, address (including postcode) and/or email address will be used solely in connection with the organisation of the game and will not be disclosed to any third party. By entering this promotion, you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy and agree to these Terms and Conditions of the promotion. 

By submitting any information required as part of your participation into the quiz, participants agree to their information being held and processed in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
